Entry # 03: Major Setbacks

There have been some setbacks in my work that is going to affect the mission statement.

1. The book that I wanted to read about my topic, Flats: Technical Drawing For Fashion, apparently has less information on technical drawings than a picture book. The only other books I can find are textbooks, which sell for over $100. I am not willing to spend this much on the topic at this time.

2. I have looked into AutoDesk Inventor, and finally found the price. For the full version, AutoDesk Inventor sells for over $7,000. For the lite version, it sells for over $1,000. With the student discount, it would cost $150, but it would require me to focus down in technical drawings into a deeper sub-branch, which I can not do. In addition, the technology required to use AutoDesk Inventor would match that of a super computer (hypotheticly).

I am beginning to understand why 25% of the Gifted: Critical Thinking class dropped out.
